MoBassFishin supports habitat clean-up projects.
We are fortunate to have millions of acres of lakes, streams and recreation areas in the Ozarks region. Missouri alone has 110,000 miles of flowing water that provide many recreational activities.
Maintaining the beauty and keeping these areas clean takes more than a governmental agency. Volunteering for one or more of these clean-up projects in your community is one way to help. There are many organizations, throughout the Ozarks region, involved in lakes, rivers, and tributary clean-up projects. These projects are accomplished by volunteers from many organizations such as fishing clubs, scouting troops, 4-H and FFA chapters just to name a few. These activities including monitoring water quality, picking up litter, stabilizing stream banks, and more.
Contact your state, city, and local municipalities, or attend a meeting for more information on how to become involved.
Visit the US Army Corps of Engineers or a Stream Team site in your state.
